Our after-school programs provide children with hands-on opportunities to explore the natural world while developing creativity, physical skills, and mental well-being. BRAINSTEM LEARNING CANADA
Canyon Heights Elementary school’s grades 2-6 are invited to join our after-school program at your school for 9 weeks starting in March - June 2026. Gr. 2-6 Specialists-Robotics Engineering - Mondays 3:00pm-4:30 pm. Registration March, 2026

Get ready to sing, dance, and act after school with our fun and talented teaching team. These classes are a great introduction to Lights Up programs and the fun world of musical theatre. SPORTS EXPLORERS
Sport Explorers Play is a high-energy, game-based program that focuses on learning through play. Athletes will participate in a wide variety of structured sport games with modified rules. With an emphasis on fair play, athletes will develop coordination and game sense along with tactical development and rules understanding. A rotation of PE games is included to maintain engagement. Athletes will be sure to find their love of sport through our Play program

FARSI CLASSES
The Farsi afterschool program program is aligned with the official Farsi curriculum of British Columbia, emphasizing core skills like reading and writing. What sets us apart is our commitment to making learning enjoyable. Through arts, music, and hands-on crafts, we create an interactive and engaging environment where students can have fun while mastering Farsi.

NORTH SHORE BASKETBALL
Most after-school programs build a specific skill — Wild Child builds the child. In a technology-free, high-agency play environment, kids practice real world skills like decision-making, resilience, leadership, and social confidence. Through cooperative games, creative challenges, and guided risky play, they learn to navigate uncertainty rather than avoid it. Grounded in research on independence and youth mental health, this is structured freedom with purpose. It’s not just another activity; it’s where kids grow stronger from the inside out. This program is a pilot by Coach Ryan from North Shore Basketball. All kids get a t-shirt.

STEAMOJI
This term, apprentices will dive deeper into robotics using the VEX GO kit and take their coding skills to the next level. Their building abilities will expand into a whole new world as they create jumpers, walkers, and crawlers — and bring them to life using loops, conditionals, and variables. Oh, and did we mention... they'll build a robotic arm!
