Become an Event Host

Help bring our school’s favorite events to life! Small, manageable roles — perfect to share with a friend. Click any event to learn more.

  • Simple setup and serving with your grade. A small, manageable event that’s perfect for a first-time volunteer. Great to tackle with a friend!

  • Small teams run fun, high-energy events. A great Grade 7 fundraiser opportunity. Help coordinate music, decorations, and the dance floor!

  • Parent team-led event and Grade 7 fundraiser opportunity. Help coordinate vendors, activities, and spread holiday cheer through our school community.

  • A larger team event with shared roles, plus a Grade 7 fundraiser opportunity. Help set up games, activities, and entertainment for the whole school community.

  • Help us show our teachers and staff how wonderful they are! Contribute a dish or your time on June 17th. Contact programs@canyonheightspac.org for the sign-up sheet.

  • All event host roles come with full support, past plans, and Google Docs guides ready to go. Everything is set up to make this easy to step into and enjoy. Perfect to take on with a friend or small group!

Join the PAC Executive Team

Our 2025/26 PAC executive team was elected at the June 17th PAC meeting. Interested in getting involved next year? We’d love to have you!

  • Naz Niamir & Karima Penman

    Guide PAC meetings, liaise with the school administration, and support PAC initiatives. This is the heart of the organization — perfect for someone who loves bringing people together. Elected role | 2-year term

  • Jessica Southern

    Keep notes at PAC meetings and help with communications. A great role for someone detail-oriented who wants to stay in the loop on everything happening at the school. Elected role | 2-year term

  • Simrit Rye

    Attend district (DPAC) meetings and bring updates back to our school community. Stay connected to what’s happening across the school district and advocate for Canyon Heights families. Elected role | 1-year term

  • Vanessa Mitchell & Michela Adair

    Plan and coordinate school events throughout the year, from community socials to fundraisers and family nights. A fun role for someone creative and organized who loves bringing the school community together. Elected role | 2-year term

  • Hilary Burley

    Manage the PAC’s newsletters, social media, and school communications to keep families informed and engaged. Perfect for someone with a flair for writing or social media who wants to help keep the community connected. Elected role | 2-year term

  • Christina Cassidy

    Represent Canyon Heights families on the school’s planning committee, contributing a parent voice to decisions about school programs, priorities, and improvements. Elected role | 1-year term

  • Bahar Fadaei (assisted by Hilary Burley)

    Oversee ordering and scheduling for our hot lunch program. The systems are already in place — you just keep things running smoothly. Great for someone organized who loves supporting school nutrition. Appointed role | 1-year term
